The French Regiment Collection pairs two antique military lithographs by French artist Charles Vernier with a wonderfully coordinating vintage needlepoint bell pull.

The lithographs come from Vernier’s Costumes de l’Armée Française depuis Louis XIV jusqu’à ce jour, documenting French military uniforms across several eras. Each is signed “Ch. Vernier” within the plate and retains its original hand coloring.

The vintage bell pull depicts five historical soldiers against French blue, ivory, and red stripes. Blue velvet edging and ornate brass fittings—including a sculptural clasped-hands pull—complete the piece. The upper hanging ring folds behind the brass fitting; no hardware is missing.

Together, the pieces make a distinctive collection for a boy’s room, library, study, or traditionally collected interior.

• Bell pull: 68½" L × 5½" W

Condition

The antique lithographs show age-related toning, spotting, creases, fold lines, and handling marks. One retains old tape residue partially obscuring portions of the lower captions. The later walnut frames, mats, and glass show light wear.

The bell pull is in good vintage condition with minor textile wear and aged brass patina. The needlework remains visually strong, and the hardware is complete.
