Vintage 1970s Wicker Flamingo Plant Stand in Messel Green

A wonderfully whimsical vintage 1970s wicker flamingo plant stand, dressed in the perfect Messel green and ready for a very good pool.

Standing an impressive 39 inches tall, this sculptural flamingo is woven in wicker from beak to base, with her long crossed legs supporting an open basket designed to hold a plant—or whatever else your particular version of poolside living requires.

We styled her with a vivid magenta orchid on the lanai, but she is equally happy holding rolled towels and sunscreen beside the pool, gathering napkins and bamboo flatware for a backyard cookout, or standing sentry in a pool bath or garden room.

The perfect addition to your poolside folly, pool bath, backyard cookout—or simply holding a gorgeous orchid on the lanai. And, naturally, she has legs for days and is dressed in the perfect Messel green.

How I Priced Her
At the time of listing, comparable full-size vintage wicker flamingo plant stands are currently offered at $850 and $2,400. This flamingo has been repainted, which I took into consideration when pricing her.

Condition

Very good vintage condition. This piece had been previously painted before coming to RCI and has now been freshly refinished in green. As with all vintage pieces, minor irregularities, variations in the wicker, and signs of age should be expected and are part of her character.
