Vintage Enoch Wedgwood Oriental Pheasant Green Salad Plates — Set of 4

DESCRIPTION

A wonderfully decorative set of four vintage Enoch Wedgwood salad or dessert plates in the classic Oriental Pheasant Green pattern.

Rendered in soft sage green with touches of blue, yellow and rose, the intricate design features fanciful birds nestled among scrolling foliage and abundant flowers. The gently scalloped edge and delicate patterned border give these plates the layered, collected quality that makes vintage English transferware so appealing.

Produced in England by Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) Ltd., Oriental Pheasant is part of the enduring Staffordshire tradition of bird-and-floral transferware patterns. Beautiful enough for the table, but perhaps even better on the wall, this set would make a fabulous starting point for a collected plate wall.

I especially love these mixed with traditional blue-and-white china—the styled photographs show just how beautifully the green plays against a classic Blue Willow pattern. Blue-and-white platter shown is not included and will be offered separately.
