A striking pair of vintage Maitland-Smith wall brackets crafted from cream tessellated fossil stone and accented with warm brass trim.
Their tapered architectural form and generous proportions give them considerably more presence than the average decorative wall bracket. The neutral stone has beautiful natural gray and taupe markings—almost resembling fossilized coral—while the brass emphasizes the strong geometric lines.
Use them to flank a mirror, doorway, painting, or cabinet, or top them with porcelain, small sculptures, ginger jars, or other collected objects. Beautifully made and substantial in scale, they function as both display shelves and sculptural wall elements.
Made in the Philippines, circa 1980s. Sold only as a pair.

Condition report
Excellent vintage condition. Both brackets are completely structurally sound, with no loose parts, missing stone, or notable damage. Minor signs of previous use may be present. Please review all photographs closely, as they form part of the description.
Mounting information
Each bracket has two inset brass keyhole hangers spaced approximately 9" on center. Because each bracket weighs approximately 8.2 pounds before an object is added, appropriately rated wall anchors are required. Mounting screws and anchors are not included.
