Two vintage tropical bird prints after renowned British ornithological artist John Gould are presented side by side beneath glass. The colorful parrot studies have a beautifully softened palette of leafy green, blue, yellow, coral and red.

The existing frame has been transformed by Risa Cermak Interiors with a custom, layered faux-tortoiseshell finish. Rich brown, amber and black markings give the artwork greater depth and make the frame part of the story—not merely its border.

Cream matting with metallic inner borders completes the traditional presentation. The result feels wonderfully at home in a Palm Beach-inspired bedroom, sunroom, library or powder room, and would also bring color and character to an eclectic gallery wall.

Condition

Good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with age and previous display. The frame has been newly custom-painted in a layered faux-tortoiseshell finish; variations and irregularities are intentional elements of the hand-applied treatment.

The artwork has not been examined outside the frame. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
